If you want to buy your own personal items of basic kit here's a few pointers to places to get them (you might not need all of them)...
Tabs - from £0.95 (although I'd get the next one up at £4.99 if I were buying one)
Bracers - from £2.84
Arrow Puller - £3.49
Stretch Bands - from £1.76 (can use this to warm up or practise pulling back whilst not at sessions)
from www.merlinarcherycentre.co.uk/acatalog/
[They also have a nice set of pages with basic info for beginners on at www.merlinarcherycentre.co.uk/Beginners.htm]
Merlins is just on the outskirts of Loughborough so you can avoid paying P&P. If there is enough interest I do not mind taking some orders and going down there and picking a few bits and bobs up - they might even give you a discount if we get enough together.
Of course don't feel pressured that you have to buy your own stuff. The club does have these items (although in varying levels of repair and quantity!!!).
Otherwise there are a number of online archery shops. Those we have used in the past are:
www.quicks.com
www.altservices.co.uk (tends to be the cheapest)
www.archeryworld.co.uk
www.bowsports.com
there's always ebay....but u never truly know what you're going to get until it arrives - although sometimes there are good deals around.
If you are having trouble deciding or have any questions then feel free to ask any member of committee (or anyone who looks experienced).
